    What a surprise we found out we had a roo! His name is Rocky & he's gorgeous.

    What I did because my wife was like yours, 8 is enough! I would get up before she did, run to the feed store, get the new chicks and put them in the coop. When she said "where did they come from", I said, "oh the birds we had must of had chicks", haha. Of course she didn't believe me, but it kinda helped a little with her being mad.

    Very nice. We have 8 girls - 4 NHR, 2 blonde Americuana, 2 RIR. I'm about to start expanding my pen to eventually have 3 separate pen for rotation. I'm trying to talk my wife into having about 16-20 birds. Feed cost is an issue. She says 8 is enough. Truth be told, out a month of Sundays she might have something to do with them maybe 3 days.
