My Sultans

I have a sultan rooster and hen, and they are by far one of the best ornamental breeds I have ever had! I've had them for about two years now. I purchased my sultans from a hatchery, after researching the breed and finding out they are endangered. I got them after my silkies had died, as I was looking to replace them with some other type of ornamental chicken that wouldn't go broody. My hen is definitely the sweetest chicken I have. She comes to me every time I'm in the chicken yard. My rooster is very sweet as well, and he has never bitten or ran at me. My sultan hen lays a good size white egg about every other day. All in all, sultans are just a great breed, and you won't regret getting one.
