I have decided to build an old fashioned hover brooder for my winter chicks. I am using OSB wood, since it will be in the barn and not exposed to the elements.I will keep track of costs, and document everything in pics. That way you guys can all see the stupid mistakes I make, and yet it will still come together. A hover brooder is simply a giant shallow box that you turn upside-down and it "hovers over your chicks so they can stay warm. I am planning on lining it with Tek-Foil and installing 2 light fixtures inside for extra warmth on those cold Minnesota nights.This page temporarily on hold while I move to my new farm
