I really like the idea of constructing the run in panels and making it sturdy enough to vary. I wish you'd have included more photos and construction details. It's hard to get more than a general idea of what this interesting coop is like.
That's a great idea, to make your run so sturdy that you can put whatever you want inside. It sure will help with the boredom issues - both yours and your hens! Very nicely done!
I did the same on the ground but liking your idea of raise bed ... We get more rain so I did shade cloth & shower curtains on rods that I can pull back or close when we get the rains/storms. Love it!
