Our Daisy Coop Build

Excellent coop and even better thorough article coverage showing us how it came to fruition. The plans you purchased - that company ought to thank you for advertising for them.

I would build one of these if I could. Ill bet your girls were ecstatic. And the attention to detail relative to predation in your area. 10 snaps up. Has it all held up for you? No doubt.

My fave color was chosen for painting the structure. What eye-candy. I'd almost be willing to find a second job to be able to afford to build one of these. 😁
Great article with lots of detailed pictures at each step. Love the colors and detail on everything.
Awesome step by step & photos!
That is FABULOUS!!!
And thanks for the tip.... I noticed what you used to attach the hardware cloth... looks like some type of flat head nail? Will most definitely be using those for our expansion! My poor hubby used U-hook nails to attach the hardware cloth to our coop/run:th:he....
Great job!:clap

We also used mostly those u nails, but also reinforced here and there with some washers and screws (it would have been much more expensive to do all washers and screws)!
Great article and coop design. Love the colors, Go Bucks!

It is a beautiful coop and it's filled with beautiful hens. Thanks for sharing.
This build is beautiful! You've done so many, many things just right that I can't list 'em all. The documentation is wonderful - lots of pictures and clear, easy-to-follow text. You birds are very lucky ... and so are we. Thanks for sharing!
I wish i could work with wood like you did! A very sturdy, well built house for your chickens that will serve you for a very long time. And it looks so beautiful with the white and red paint!

Thanks for the kind words! To be fair, my husband did all the wood work while I was the instruction giver, painter, and interior finisher .
