Excellent article for anyone wanting to build a very sturdy hoop coop. The author included step-by-step instructions, blueprints, materials lists, etc., to help anyone build this.

I used this as the basic outline for my run attached to my coop and it turned out fantastic. It's a great starting point to customize for you and your flock.

The design and blueprints look amazing as well as the materialist can anybody who's built this tell me approximately what the material cost was?

We built two of this coop with these instructions about 6 years ago and they are holding up great! They are quite heavy, which accounts for the sturdiness, but also makes them difficult to move; we had intended to move them twice a month throughout the summer but usually ended up moving them only 3 times. They tended to get busted up on the uneven ground when moving with the tractor. Also with no floor, we have had predators digging under. Any suggestions for making this more mobile?

Really like this coop and how neat it looks (not neat as slang; but this chicken home is well appointed). Your instructions were impeccable . They are ao thorough even I could take this list to HD or Lowe's, get the materials and make this hoop coop.

How did your chickens like it? Would love to see it all these years later.

The instructions, materials list, pictures, description, and build are all top notch. I am going to use this framing for my livestock panel greenhouse. If I build any secondary coops, I will be using this design. Absolutely superb.

Excellent article! the master material list was a great benifit and the clear instructions with pictures was easy to follow. Considering the detail, this should be an easy build for a beginner. I would have liked to run across this article before building mine.
