Good info!
It’s was a very clear and helpful article. I’m definitely going to use it when my Silkies come of age.

This was so helpful to me! I'm getting 2 pullets on Saturday. 4 months old and stated they are pullets. Crossing my fingers :)

Pretty good. Pics were not always very clear, and instructions in some cases were not detailed. But I understood what was being said and think this is a helpful article.
All of my silkies displayed these gender traits.
Great article Pippin! You have listed the best ways to sex Silkies and covered a lot!❤️

And I definitely don't recommend the vent sexing, as you already said. Pro vent sexers don't seem to be right even 85% of the time anyway, (or at least the vent sexers that do my store's chicks.)

I'm sure a lot people will find this useful though. Great job with it!❤️?
Great article Pippin! :clapYou covered so many things in this article. Thought the golden ring method kind of works. I tried it with the fully grown hens (and roosters) and it actually worked (it also worked with a dog, cat, rabbit and even me) Anyway you did a great job on this article!

Covers the most reliable ways to sex silkies, and has extra info I have never heard of before!

I would like to put in for future silkie keepers that while gender traits can start to pop up at around 6 weeks of age, don't get rid of your "boy" silkies yet because at that age a lot can still change. Until three months, I am still guessing at my silkies' gender.

Yes, I generally wait until 2 or 3 months old. And If I'm attached to them I wait until I hear a crow
