Pomeranian geese are a good dual purpose bird that lay around 70 eggs a year and average about 16lbs before processing. They like the chinese goose tend to make good watchdogs and are quite noisy. The Pomeranians temperament varies from goose to goose. Some can be very docile while others can be overly aggressive. A correct specimen will have blue eyes, pinkish-red bill and reddish orange feet and legs. The geese only have one lobe instead of two that most breeds have. There should not be any knobs at the base of its bill as this is a trait of inbreeding. They should not have a dewlap and if one occurs this specimen should be removed from breeding stock.
