Such a creative use of space! Not many will have this problem (historic area) but A LOT of people are interested in “hidden” coops and this is kind of next level.

Would be incredible if there’d be an update—how is it working having the girls in an interior space? Dust? Smell?

This is a very unusual situation that not many will come across, but it does present an interesting problem ... and solution! Isn't it funny how first impressions came back around full circle? Just shows how the brilliant mind of a good chicken-keeper shines through!
