This is my first blog ever.
We moved to Lookout Mountain in Golden in April 2011.
Our move in date was extended, so prior to us closing on our house...in my little 500 square foot apartment I had a large box of chickens (brooder box), 2 cats, 125 gallon fish tank, one 75 pound Hungarian Vizla, and a fiancee. We finally got the place, thank goodness!
We will transformed the divided dog run into a chicken coop.
The interior coop had two totally seperate sides, each side is slightly larger than 6'x3.5' making about 22 square feet for each side. We took out the wall in the middle to have an open coop.
The exterior run is completely enclosed, will extend the run this spring and add a large pond.
So far, we have the following:
4 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Buff Orphingtons + 1 rooster, 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks, 2 White Leghorns. Just got 2 more Easter Eggers (one should be blue egg laying), 2 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte. We are building a extension to out coop!
