So you want to rescue a chicken... Now what?

Good article on rescuing chickens!

Quarantine should not be in the same coop to prevent viral infection to the flock
The love and care you give to these girls is amazing. You are one in a million
Thank you for what you do. It truly takes a special person.
This is really useful to us newbies who are trying to build up our flock. The first three that I have were in pretty good condition but todays girls are looking very rough much like the pics on this post. Thank you. x
This made me cry! What you do is amazing!!
Congratulations. This is very admirable what you are doing. Keep up the great work.
This will help if I have to do this in the future.
You are an admirable woman!
Truly heart warming. If only more people could help 'spent' and neglected hens.
Good job with this article. I don't know that I'll ever be in that situation - but if I ever am, I want to come back to this article, and I just know I'll end up sharing the link in some of the facebook groups I'm in, when someone else is. You're clear about it, and I can tell you really care about these chickens but you're also practical and sensible and doing the best thing for them. Thank you for being such a good person for them. I know now that you're someone to turn to with questions about these things.

So lovely to think of the happy lives your rescue chickens got to live out with you.
I will begin rescuing hens soon thanks in large part to this story. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful story.. God Bless you for helping these sweet animals that may never would have had a chance without you..
So touching you open you heart and home to the less fortunate! Keep fighting the good fight feathered friends! Wishing best of luck and health to your flock!
Great inspiring stories.
I too tend to be found by lost and or struggling new friends and get attached very quickly. It is hard for me to say no if I know/or think I can help.

Thank you for sharing tears with me ;)

I Always say Never again! Then I am reminded Never say Never
What a warm and tender story. If only everyone had such a kind and giving heart the world would be a much better place.

Helping us know exactly what to do when we bring a rescue home is very helpful.

Links to each girl's story gives more specifics on what one may encounter.

All that I can say is thank you for all that you do.
