Sterling Acres Homestead

Sterling Acres is a small family homestead nestled in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. We are located just two hours north of Philadelphia, an hour and a half south of NYC and an hour west from the New Jersey state line. We own roughly 3.5 acres that includes wild pasture and lush forest flora. While we are small, we are efficient and family friendly. By eating homegrown and buying local, we feel we're offering our children the best possible start in life and significantly reducing our carbon footprints. We raise our own meat, periodically throughout the year: including chicken, pork, beef, duck and turkey. Our animals are spoiled rotten family pets.

Our chicken flock is happy, healthy and friendly. They have access to 5+ acres of pesticide-free land, including an apple orchard and a wild huckleberry briar. We feed them a locally grown grain mixture sparingly. Free-ranged eggs are proven to have better health benefits!

Our current flock consists of: Buff Orpingtons, Plymouth Barred Rocks, Black Australorps, Black Sexlinks, Easter Eggers, Plymouth White Rocks and Barnyard Mixes.
