We've just started raising chickens. We have 3 barred Rocks and 2 Amercuanas. Born 1/18/2012. We are building their coop using recycled kitchen cabinet doors that we got from the Habitat Re-Store (also got the roosts there). I love the support on BackyardChickens.com. I also belong to Valley Permaculture Society in Phoenix, AZ. That's a great site to support folks who are raising chickens in Phoenix -- we have special issues with the heat!!!! When the coop is done, I'll post all the construction pix, etc.
