On March 20, 2018 I started the construction of The Chicken McMahansion. Took about four months to build. It is a 12 foot by 10 foot coop with a 23 foot long and 12 foot wide run. I have never built anything like this before. EVER! I built straight from my head and did not make any plans. I just built it. It was fun to build and NOT fun to build. I handled the construction and Wifey did all of the painting and decorations. She also made the feeding and water buckets along with the McRun set up. Hardwire cloth surrounds the McRun and buried about 10 inches into the ground. The cloth is also up where the rafters meet the top plate. I also have cameras around the McMahansion to monitor any predator activity. So far there have been no signs of any predator activity. Only seeing deer on the cameras and no damage to the structure or run. Our tiny dragons are spoiled and happy. Currently have ten chickens and plan on getting some more. I did add some comments to some of the pictures but don't know how to make them visible. Sorry about that. Here is a picture story of the building process. Thank you!
