I researched for two years about farm animals and which one would be the best for an absolute beginner. One video I was chef listed from easiest to hardest farm animals to own, and they said in the pole they sent out that chickens are the easiest farm animal to own.
Disclaimer I got two beautiful Embden geese instead.
During the research faze I found that geese (specifically Embdens) are very hardy and basic poultry to take care of. That made them perfect for me as a noob and someone who has time on my hands.
I proposed this to my parents as my grade 11 project and with a year of trying to convince my dad they finally agreed! We rent so my dreams of being a livestock homesteader are on hold right now but I saw my two runt geese as a step into farm life.
So back to chickens, I will make it as plain as I can.
I believe (Embden) geese are easier then chickens because:
Geese should get more credit, not all of them are mean hissing monsters.
In the next part I will going into more in-depth.

I believe (Embden) geese are easier then chickens because:
- They are hardy and resilient
- Since they are feared by, pretty much everyone, including animals they are not as vulnerable as chickens.
- They can (if more then 3) defend themselves very well.
- Less health problems then chickens.

That is a good idea, thank you.
