Wings of Fire, the RP: Hope on the Horizon Archives.

Wings of Fire takes place on three continents. Posenda, Pyrria, Pantala, and Parasealia. Below is a map of the three continents.

There is a school that was built by an IceWing animus dragon (see animus dragons for details). Here is a blueprint. Please excuse the mess, as it was done on a whiteboard and not on a computer. I might have to re-do it later, but it will work for the time being.

Little is known about the CloudWings. It is believed that they live in clouds, and high altitude mountain peaks in Pantala. Some have had an unusual power; controlling the weather.
They have feathers, and are tall and beautiful.

FireWings are a hybrid tribe of MudWing and SkyWing. They have orange scales, some are a more golden color. They also have fireproof scales, and some have FireScales. Literally anything that touches firescales will go up in flames. They live in mountains, or open areas where they can fly.

HiveWings are a hybrid of NightWing and an extinct tribe, which may have been called the BeetleWings. They live in a huge set of hives in the Savanna on Pantala. They have four wings instead of two, and they have stingers which can paralyze. Their scales are black and yellow.

Color: White, light blue or silvery.
Traits: Cold and calculating. They set rules and boundaries, and always follow them. They have ranking systems, and higher ranked dragons are treated with more respect. The IceWing animus’s are only allowed to used their powers once on a gift for the whole Tribe.
Abilities: They can breathe a frost breath can withstand intense cold and below zero temperatures. They have thin, sharp spikes at the ends of their tails. Their blood is blue.
Habitat: IceWings live in the snowy mountains or tundra areas with lots of ice and snow.

Color: White, very pale yellow when full of sunlight.
Traits: LightWings are peaceable and choose not to fight or make enemies as part of their tradition. They don’t eat much, they’re vegetarians, but use photosynthesis. Their wings are rounded like LeafWing’s wings, and they have clear blood.
Abilities: LightWings can breath a high-energy white fire that is very strong and hot. Lying in the sun as RainWings do helps them charge their energy, and they can use that to mirror their scales with their surroundings- making them invisible, or lighting them up so bright that they can temporarily blind a dragon.
Habitat: They live in high treetops near beaches and sunbathe in the trees or on the beach.

LeafWings live in the Poison Jungle, which is a beautiful place full of lush, tropical plants and flowers. Many of those flowers will eat dragons, but LeafWings are clever enough to stay away. Some have leafspeak, which can make them tell plants to grow at unusually fast speeds. They have leaf shaped wings, and come in all shades of green and brown. Some hold a grudge against HiveWings.

MineralWings come in all colors, mixed with grey or black. They live in the caves, which have gemstones. They can sense vibrations strongly through their antenna.

The MudWings live in the swamps in the Mud Kingdom. They have thick scales like those of an alligator, which are brown. Big muscled, and usually slow.

The NightWings are a very special tribe. They live in the Night Kingdom, and have black scales with some silver ones tossed around, especially on their wings. When hatched under one full moon, can have either prophetic powers or mindreading powers. Some are animuses.

RainWings live in the Rainforest. They like rain! They can change their colors in the blink of an eye, overall, very smart and nice dragons. They are currently allied with the NightWings.

The SandWings are known for many things, including their fighting skills, and the Scorpion Den, full of outclaws and filches. They live in, you guessed it, the Sand Kingdom, and have a high heat tolerance (unlike the dragon writing this right now), which means that they can survive a long time without water. One of their features is also a barbed tail, like that of a scorpion, along with a forked black tongue. They can breath fire. SandWing's scales are usually pale yellow or white, although in some rare cases, the scales will be a more sunny color, more like that of sand. This unusual coloring usually occurs when the dragon is not a pure SandWing, but a hybrid of Sand/NightWing. A few weeks before the academy was built, the IceWing animus waged war on the NightWings with the help of the SkyWing and SandWing armies.

SeaWings live in the Sea Kingdom. They can speak a language called Aquatic, which consists of different patterns flashed in their scales. They also have gills, which makes it impossible to drown one. They are deadly when fighting in water, but not so good on dry land. Three years ago, an IceWing animus (the same one who built the academy) killed many of their tribe, including the former queen. There has been some hatred towards IceWings ever since.

Color: Any one or two colors except black.
Traits: Calm and peaceable. They’re tame, and take orders well. Sometimes called stupid just for being so submissive. They’ve lived under HiveWings and built the Hives. SilkWings don’t have wings before seven. When they turn seven, they go into a metamorphosis and spin a cocoon. They stay in the cocoon for three weeks before emerging with wings.
Abilities: They can spin a grey silk from their wrists, and rare SilkWings known as firesilks can spin three types of fiery silk. Glowing silk, fire silk (hot), and burning silk (on fire, and hard to put out). SilkWings have four wings like HiveWings, and can sense vibrations in the air with their antenna.
Habitat: The grassy plains and lightly wooded forests top left of Pantala.

The SkyWings are very hot-tempered. They love fighting, and are one of the fastest fliers on Pyrria. They live in the Sky Kingdom, which is full of mountains, and forest. SkyWings have bright crimson scales, and rare ones have Firescales, which make anything that touches them go up in flames. Normal dragons can breath fire. The IceWing animus waged war on the NightWing tribe with the help of the SkyWing and SandWing armies.

Color: Black, with a shiny chrome of any color, brown, or grey.
Traits: WebWings tend to stay in the shadows. They’re usually a quiet Tribe, and live under the radar of the other Parsealian Tribes. They can be very deadly and silent. They’re a hybrid of a NightWing and an odd SilkWing/HiveWing hybrid, who both managed to fly to Parsealia to live alone together.
Abilities: They can spin a white silk from their wrists, and go into a metamorphosis just like SilkWings, but they emerge with four wings and venom. (Abilities vary from dragon to dragon) Venomous stingers in their claws, two fangs, or stingers in their wrists. They can see very well in the dark with their four eyes, and have a heightened sense of smell, and are nocturnal.
Habitat: Surface caves and lowlands.
