!WARNING! a centuries old strain has recently been identified! This chronic disorder is affecting MILLIONS today and is quickly spreading! This highly transmissible disorder is known to very few poultry owners, although an estimated 95 percent of backyard flock owners are unknowingly subjected to it daily! Although symptoms rarely show up in the flock, and fatalities are extremely rare, this is a major cause for concern for ALL poultry owners world-wide. Chronic gallus domesticus sederia is a newly identified disorder most commonly transferred through direct contact with a flock. Occuring more frequently with some breeds than others, every flock owner in every corner of the world is highly susceptible to it! Don't think you or your flock suffer? Do you think 'I haven't come into contact with any flock but my own' ? Think again!! symptoms include minor dementia, restlessness, major compulsive behavior, serious reactions to specific breeds and types, rapid flock increases, and often minor espousal conflicts. And the worst part is: this disorder effects not the flock, but the flock OWNER!! Often stimulated by mere images and oral communication, victims of this disorder will often, most likely compulsively purchase excess poultry, or place all free time and thought into thier flock. This often results in lunacy, meal deprivation, and slight giddiness (the latter being quite alarming in the male flock keeper). If you seem to suffer from any of these symptoms you most likely have Chronic GDS, and need to consult a therapist immediately! Please avoid all hatcheries, poultry shows, chicken-related forums, and all other poultry related activities! Also avoid all human contact lest you transfer your obsession (ahem) disorder to others.

The very worse problem with this illness is the fully illustrated Chicken catalog. Our society has unknowingly and unwittingly increase the effects of this disease by the introduction of said catalogs. It's also brought on the newest known symptom where one carries the catalog everywhere they go and even spends excessive time in the bathroom looking through it. Because of this newly added stimuli, the disease has been known to effect people who don't even have current contact with live chickens.
