i had one lone egg left from last batch i tried to hatch. i killed everyone else. there were some that were supposed to hatch last week and opened them up and checked them out. but this one egg, i didn't because it wasn't do til tuesday. well i added some quail and got some eggs yesterday. i went down to candle the chicken eggs from yesterday to see if they were scrambled. i heard this noise. never hatched before, i was a little confused. then i heard it again. i picked up the egg and it was PEEPING!!! now i am trying to get a brooder ready quick cause now it is rocking and rolling. what temp does my brooder need to be.???? i didn't think i would need to know this yet:/

about 85-90, I always put the heat lamp on 1 side so they can move under it to keep warm, the middle or to the other side to be cooler !!

Did the chick pip yet ?? It could take 24+ hours for it to hatch completly after it pips the shell!! Did you up your hum ??
 
i have the humidity up to 50. it has not pipped yet. with the humidity, i figured it would be ok to up it even with the other eggs because i just put them in yesterday and it shouldn't be up long. hopefully not to long if we are rocking.

Do you have another bator you could stick the other eggs in in till this one is done hatching ?? The hum should be around 65%

50% is a little low and could cause the chick to stick to the shell and not be able to hatch !!
 
nothing because i thought i killed it. it almost got thrown out yesterday. i can try to get it up higher in there. if i make my sponge hotter it should raise it right? but it will raise the temp. should i add another sponge or maybe washcloth.
 
No add another sponge or a glass/cup of water (warm water, not hot), Try to get it around 60% so it doesnt harm the others.

What day is this egg on ??
 
we are on nineteen, due tuesday. i really didn't pay any attention because, like i said i killed everything else. i will go add some water in a small container will more surface area. thanks for you help.
i had been turning it everyday still. just going through the motions. but never in my wildest dreams did i think something was in there still.

Np prob, Dont give up on him yet !! Its still day 19 so he might not pip till day 20 or 21. After you add water DONT OPEN THE BATOR AGAIN, LOL !!!! Please keep me updated !!
