This coop was here when I bought my place. A friend of mine owned the house previously, and he went around to farmers and got permission to pull the rocks out of thier fields. Then he built it.

Now that's my idea of a coop!! Please show pics of the inside! I'm sure your girls are happy there and with so much room to free range

Now that is what I call a chicken coop, I LOVE IT! I would liketo see pictures of the inside too. I love anything made out of stone, especially houses. We grow rocks here in New England and they miraculously pop up out of the ground on a regular basis. That has to be the nicest coop I have ever seen.

I'll take some pics of the other sides as well tonight and get'em up tomorrow. I can only post at work, no internet at home.
The inside isn't real special, just roomy.
I will try to take some pics of the inside, but sometimes my camera doesn't do so good in low light conditions, and I done have any heat lamp bulbs right now, as I don't use them till winter.
Wisconsin is the same way with the rocks, glaciers they say
dropped them all here.

We are just outside of Green Bay.

I've seen a lot of that rock around. I have to agree, I love your coop and would definitely build something like that. It fits our area, too. Can't wait to see the inside pictures.

Your Friend: "Knock Knock.... Hi neighbor, can I pull up the rocks out of your field?"

Neighbor: "Hmmm... I'll have to check with the family... we really enjoy tripping on them when we are running, cracking our heads on them when we fall, having them mess up our tractors/plows, and generally working around them... Yeah, I'll have to think about it."

Your Friend: "Sooo... I'll get started now then!?"

Very nice looking coop. All it needs are some wagon wheels on the back and some handles on the front and I'm sure you could convert it into a movable chicken tractor!

Well, I took inside pics, and some other views of the outside. Problem is I was in such a rush out the door for work today I forgot the cameras mem card. I'll bring it tomorrow for sure.

justusnak - It does stay cool, it has window that open on three sides.
I don't know how warm it is in our 20 below winters, but it's wired so you can use heat lamps.

Chicken_boy - It was built for the purpose of being a coop.

Nifty-Chicken - That's funny as hell, I have often thought along the same lines. My buddy, he is very industrious.
He sold me this house that goes with the coop. He sold it to me cause he has a 40 acre parcel of hunting land, which he built a huge house on. When I say he built, I mean he , himself. a little more than a year of working on it every day, after or before his 8 - 10 hour work day.
The coop doesn't need wheels, they roam about three of my 5 acres all day.
