One of my silkies has:

1. Decided that it is a fabulous idea to go broody in January.

and

2. That she is going to incubate a clutch of pecans.

There are two pecan trees in the bantam pen and this hen has gathered some pecans up and is now determined she is going to hatch them. I wonder what the babies will look like?

Hmmm. I'm guessing incubation period will be about until spring, when they will hatch out as sprouts and later be full fledged trees... Bearing eggs instead of fruit

LOL id give you a dollar if you crushed em up and fed them to her

I was telling some friends about silkies today and how they will try to hatch nearly anything...LOL Apparently I was not exaggerating!

maybe chicks with a nice nutty aftertaste? either that or trees that crow, could go either way I suppose
