How will it take for pecans to hatch? PICS ADDED

    One of my silkies has:

    1. Decided that it is a fabulous idea to go broody in January.

    and

    2. That she is going to incubate a clutch of pecans.

    There are two pecan trees in the bantam pen and this hen has gathered some pecans up and is now determined she is going to hatch them. I wonder what the babies will look like? [​IMG]

    Hmmm. I'm guessing incubation period will be about until spring, when they will hatch out as sprouts and later be full fledged trees... Bearing eggs instead of fruit [​IMG]

    I was telling some friends about silkies today and how they will try to hatch nearly anything...LOL Apparently I was not exaggerating!
