I found 3 buried eggs in the bedding yesterday afternoon. I really have no idea how long they've been there. My egg count for the day was 24 (I have 24 laying hens & 1 rooster). We've been averaging 16-20 eggs/day. I have the eggs in the house, not incubated (we don't want peeps). I guess my question is what should I do? We float the eggs to be sure they are good but will eggs that have been fertilized that are days old still stay at the bottom of the bowl or will they float to the top? I guess I'll try candling tonight. I printed off pix for comparisons. (something is wrong with this post. anytime I type the word e-g-g, it gets changed to the word rooster.)
