There were a LOT of beautiful birds for sale at the fall show last year. Get there early for the best selection

A car & truck show will also be on the fairgrounds that weekend, so Newport will be a very busy place!!

I'll be there, too! Have to find each other & say hey.
I met Bodyflight & her DH at the one last year

BTW: Birds have to be pullorum tested but they can do that there for free.
Entry fee is $2 per bird, $4 if double-cooped. Plus add $1 clean-up fee per person. So if you enter 4 birds, it would be $8 for the birds + $1 clean-up. Make sense?

E-mail me if you want a copy of the entry form, and can open pdf files...

Haven't been able to e-mail the forms to anyone since I can't get them scanned in...

DH can't get the scanner working yet. There's enough time to call and request the forms, though, and they come with a Gate Pass. That will come in handy since there's a car show on the same site that weekend.

Hi Ya'll, I'm in Sevier County with 'wegotchickens'. Is the show just for those with chickens to show or can anybody come? If so, how much for admission? Not sure if I will be able to or not since right now DH has a bad leg and can barely walk, but if he should be better by then I would love to come and check it out. I've always loved seeing all the chickens at the Fair when I've gone.

I think somebody mentioned "chickens for sale" and that definitely caught my attention because I'm just now starting my collection and working on building a coop. Right now I only have three babies, which I dearly love, that my Sevier County Chicken Friend, wegotchickens, was sweet enough to give me. (I've tried hatching but no luck so far but will keep trying till I get it right.) I'm already planning on buying some more from her that she is hatching but since I would like to have a big variety (2 of each breed I like) maybe I can find some that I want there too if I get to come. I like standard breeds the best and want some that love to lay eggs as much as I love to eat them. :)
