I'm no help as we don't butcher our unwanted roos. Silkies are too small anyway. My only knowledge is getting what's left inside them from buying whole ones in the store, and that's pulling like heck. I do know that when butchering one, you have to be careful not to bust open things, especially if you don't know what they are, like stomach and bowels, as that can contaminate the meat.Just finished the first butchering!! It went well! I had trouble getting the intestines and stuff out but I just cut the breasts, legs, and wings off. I was able to get the heart, feet and neck though! Any specific tips for getting the guts out?
