BO (?supposedly), 4 weeks old come Monday. OH BOY, the PINK on the comb and where the wattles are coming in!!! Just want to confirm my suspicions, because I have a friend that has chicks just a couple weeks older that can take some of my "extras" or roos, so the younger they are, the easier I know it'll be to integrate them. THNX!

PS- this is my poor wounded "boy" I posted about a couple days ago, he's healing so nicely!

Thank you! I'll be posting a lot of gender questions & pics the next few weeks as they're getting to the sexable age. Compared to most of the others, he's the reddest. WHY is it the ones I have to hand care for keep looking to be roos? LOL

without fail.. we always get attached to the rooster babies here before we know they are roosters. Not sure why.. but it happens to us too!

I'm glad it's not just me, LOL

THNX all, I think 1-2 RIR's are roos as well. Vee shall see....

I'll be back again soon with pics & questions, LOLOL

It's that WADDLE that gives a rooster away. Do not go by comb alone, but still give him a week or so to be sure!

I thought it was his feathers.. A month old and you can already see the sickle hackles coming in and flowing across his back, especially in the second picture.
