It's today!!!
Here's what we have....

Date: Saturday, August 1st

Time: 1:00 PM

Place: Larkey Park, Walnut Creek, CA (Larkey Wildlife Museum is there. Costs a little $, but worth it. The park is free!) Here's a Google Map link:

Meet: Go to the play structures in the center of the park. The large unreservable picnic area is where we will meet. I will have a sign saying "BYC" so you can find us. Nifty has a BYC banner that he will bring, as well. Nifty might go early to save us a spot, but in case he can't, we will adapt to the situation when we get there. The park is large. If you come a little later, just look around for the sign. We won't be too far from the horseshoe pits. We might be playing bocce somewhere on the lawn, too.

Biosecurity: Don't bring your chickens. Where shoes/clothes that are coop-dust free.

Entertainment: bocce (OrpingtonManor - although I'm having trouble finding it as of Friday evening.

Food: bring a dish to share, BBQ Don't worry if you can't bring something. We can share. We really just want to meet everyone.

Time: Early afternoon works best for us.
Food: BYOF (food) for your family and eating as a group picnic sounds like fun / easy to me. If others want to eat before they come they can just hang.
Entertainment: YES!
 
Thanks, Nifty! The rest of California must be at the beach right now. Otherwise I cannot imagine why they would miss this opportunity to meet you.

How far away time wise is that from Fresno?

Edited to say...."yeah I wish I was at the beach this weekend.........we reached 111 degrees here!"

I will put any updates in the first post, just so things don't get confusing.

California Ducken - I included a link in the first post to the Google Map so you can see where it is. It's pretty far from Fresno. Looks like it's nearly 3 hours. Ouch! Sorry!

I went ahead and decided on 1:00 PM, since people will respond better to an actual time rather than a vague time. Still, it's just fun and informal. Come when you want. Leave when you want. Just COME!
