you won't know for absolute sure until it lays or crows, probably at around 5 mo???

I bet if you post a picture on here some of the people will be able to tell you now.

The difference between boy & girl leghorns at 2 months old is easily seen. The combs of leghorn cockerels grow VERY quickly and if you have a cockerel, it will have a fairly large comb & wattles by now.

These are my leghorn pullets at about 8 weeks of age. If your chick looks similar to the chicks in the two pics (notice the light pink comb & absence of wattles), it's a girl. If it has a larger red comb & the wattles are showing, it's a boy.

This is Marshmallow around 2 months...Sorry it's a bit blurry but he wouldn't stand still. He was talking by 2.5 months. You will definitely know before it lays an egg what it is the differences should start really showing up for you now at this age.

These pictures are two weeks old and her comb is coming in a little bit and her face is getting red. She has greenish yellow feet and is mostly grayish white with lighter and darker areas. Someone told me she might not be a leghorn. Ill try and post a newer pic soon

Hello fellow New Mexican!

Are her legs green? And does she have a bit of a muff and beard? Is it possible she could be a splash Easter egger?

And I'm looking at that comb, thinking if she's about 3 months, she might not be a she. It's pretty large and red for a female...
