Hello! We have six khaki campbells at aroud 14 weeks. We are sure that we have 4 drakes and 2 ducks, so we're going to have to find new homes for 2 drakes. We have one drake, Huey, who doesn't resemble the rest very much. They all looked exactly the same as ducklings, though Huey was a little smaller than the rest. Because he was smaller I was thinking he may just be going through a bad molt? But all the other birds are done their molt, so I'll let you guys give me your opinions! Is he just different oor could he still be molting?

We are planning on keeping the two boys compared in the first picture (good looking drake is Darkwing Duck, and then there's Huey, who we like for being unique). Tell me what you guys think

I'm sure the rest are campbells, but with Huey I was thinking that (knowing campbells are a mix of rouen, mallard and runner) someone was maybe trying to start a new campbell bloodline? I dunno

Two of your drakes look like they are crossed with Mallards or Rouens. Your other drakes have really dark heads for Campbells, even though they otherwise look like pure Campbells.

I thought campbell drakes were supposed to have dark heads?

We also have one drake you can see in the group picture who's just all the same brown colour with a dark bill (we thought he was a she before we heard the drake whisper).

They do have dark heads, your drakes heads just seem much darker than mine. My drakes heads are usually more green. Your birds might be better quality than mine, though.

Ohh the heads are green (except for Dolores the all brown drake who's... All brown:p) I don't know about quality, but I just thought that aside from Huey the rest were all pretty normal for Campbells.

I've been looking into breeds that I thought Huey might be a mix of and found out somthing people with Campbells might find interesting:

"The resplendent Harlequin was developed by Leslie Bonnet of Wales from a color mutation that showed up in his Khaki Campbells in 1949."

I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but now I'm thinking that Huey may just be a quirky Khaki Campbell after all =]

Just wanted to share!
