I am trying to find the recipe for plaster balls. You put peanut butter with plaster of paris, the rats eat it, and eventually die.

Anyone have this recipe?

Equal parts plaster of Paris and peanut butter with enough olive oil to make a stiff paste.
Good luck.

Will those plaster balls work on fox or coons if I mix cat food instead of p-nut butter or will they just harden too fast?

I don't think so, but possibly. They work on rodents because of small body size. Basically you are overdosing the rodent with calcium which messes with the heart rhythm. They also heat up quite a bit, but I doubt that is what does them in.

OK.....

I was out "throwing" the balls wherever they would go inside of the barn and something stole 3 of them while I was throwing them. At this rate..I'm going to have to make 12 more before 5PM!

I highly recommend thse ground squirrel traps!

The plaster of paris balls shouldn't harden until they are introduced to the critters stomach and water is added when they drink. That's why you mix it with olive oil. I love this method and have great success. Others have not been so lucky. Let me know how it works for you. I'm curious.
