I have had the lil bastahds dig way down under my hardware cloth. I saw one trying to breed with another last evening. Now I will be ripping the entire sided off hardware clothe out and leaving that part wide open and covering under the coop (which I build raised so they had an extra extra shady cool place) however now I will fill that entire area with small stone, then larger stones then even larger stones. Any holes I gain access to I will toss down a fogger and hopefully gas them before burial with the stone.
Put a ring cam out. Everyone has them. It’s unavoidable imo. They lurk. I have three fox dens. Ironically they never have bothered my chickens in 7 years. But I do see them with an occasional rat. Any I catch in traps are their dinner.
