This has been a family fav or years.
1 lb. sausage in a roll. Cook and drain
1 tube of cresent Rolls out of dairy section
8 oz or more of grated cheddar cheese
3 eggs beaten
Unroll your cresent rolls in a 12 inch long oblong pan and press it in like a pie crust.
Cover the bottom of the cresent rolls with the cooked sausage. top that with the cheese and then pour the eggs over. Bake at the time and temp on the cresent roll package. Be sure your eggs are set when you take it out. Let it cool to warm and cut in squares. Yum, YUM

Mmmm......sounds good.

I have one of these recipes that is very similar.

I use a roll of canned biscuits laid out in the bottom of a buttered casserole dish. I then brown off a roll of sausage and sprinkle over the biscuits or toss a good size handful of lil smokie sausages over the biscuits. I beat 6 eggs with a good dollop of sour cream and 1/3 cup canned cream then pour it over the biscuits and sausage. I grate cheddar cheese over the top. I bake at 375 until the eggs are set and the cheese top is just beginning to brown.

This same recipe is also awesome with a jar of thick salsa poured over before the cheese and then served with sour cream and black olives on top.

I just prepared one of these casseroles Sunday morning. Not a bite was left!

This is such a versatile recipe. You can use loaf bread, left over egg bread - any kind of bread, and line a buttered dish with it. You can make it as large as you need by adding an egg for every person plus one for the pan. It works with sausage or ham or bacon. Any kind of cheese works mozzarella, monterey jack, cheddar, american etc. You don't even have to beat the eggs. You can just crack them and let them sit atop the bread and bake with the yolk intact. Yummy stuff.

It is a fun recipe to play with.

wow, this sounds great for my boys!!
I always have bread in the freezer and thought if I use this by greasing a casserole dish or roasting dish then I add the bread then bvacon etc then eggs then cheese???
would that work? oven temp 350F? for hour long approx!
Ill make it on the weekend!
Thanks

I add a can of chopped green chilies to the eggs. Bisquick or the like makes a fine base too. Even homemade biscuit dough works, but I can't do that, I like the biscuits too much.

Im going to try this recipe tomorrow morning to bring in the new year. I bought eggs today at Wally World....I can't wait until the time I can just cruise past the egg sections because Ill Have My Own Home Grown Eggs.

DONT MAKE THIS RECIPE!!!

I made it with the flakey rolls instead of the crescents.....omg, I want to eat the entire thing. WARNING!!!! THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST BREAKFAST RECIPES IVE EVER MADE!

Ive warned you.....
