As some of you might know from the Halloween Hatch thread, I incubated Serama eggs, due to hatch out on the 30th & 31th. Well, it was quite a roller coaster, with power outages, cats knocking the 'bator to the floor and cracking nearly every egg right at lockdown, a couple of small end pippers... whew! But, I hoped and prayed and now I have nine lovely new babies to love....!

Here they are, in order of hatch...

I am ecstatic - so many times I thought all was lost and I wouldn't get even one, and yet by some miracle I have nine sweet babies to spoil. Life is good.

Great Job! I'm so happy for you! It's amazing what chicks can survive through; I've had several clutches go ice-cold during the night because of an irresponsible broody, but every egg hatched! You're doing great!

those are some cute babies. Well worth the stress

. My batch of silkies are due next Friday. About mid next week I'm sure I'll start "nesting"

I'm so excited and nervous.

Precious birds. Do you have pics of parents?
I just got some seramas and I noticed there's not much info about caring for them and housing pics etc.
