My New Chicks

Change doesn't come naturally...hope they all adjust soon. Nice photos!
Thank you. I'm sure it'll be a few weeks before they settle down (mostly Creme), but I've got a backup pen they can move into worst case scenario

Creme Brulee is clearly telling off someone about something!!
She was definitely saying some choice words not appropriate for little chicken ears! 😂

They finally figured out the sleeping box 🥹

The babies are handling the colder nights well (40F). They're about 10-11 weeks old now.
I think I have to accept that Little One is a little rooster 🐓 very red and large comb and wattles. I think I even see his saddle feathers starting to look pointy

I let them out for a while with the big girls, but Nutmeg (one of my Welsummers) was not having it. Creme Brulee actually surprised me and was very tolerant of them.
I'll try again throughout the week when I can keep an eye on them

Little One is 15 weeks old. He hasn't started crowing yet. So far his personality is what I would want for a rooster/cockerel, so hopefully that will continue as he matures

Bonnie and Lois are about the same age but possibly 1-2 weeks older

This will probably be the last update on this thread. My chicks are growing up
