My two new blue cochins came home two days ago (got them from a crappy place so they are a bit ragged-looking)... I think they're about 14 weeks old but they're still peeping like young chicks...

What age do you think they could be?

Are they both girls?

If 14 weeks I think they are pullets!! Looked to be fully feathered so that happens around 10 to 12 weeks so I say they are pretty close to 14 weeks. No sign of red wattles and no red combs. My thoughts!

oooo that would be indeed good!

they are pretty naked in the neck area, should look much better in a month after lots of TLC, good food, fresh air and sunshine.

btw this was their very first taste of sunshine and fresh air... they LOVED it!

is it normal they have no "butt"?

not even really sure what cochins are supposed to look like...

will they be big as adults?

I'm not sure, they might be bantams?

They're about the same size as my 14 week old silkies!

Here's a pic for comparison, the cochin pullets with the adult flock... what do you think?
