I have Ideal chicks that are a week old now and I haven't lost any...all healthy.

What kind of bedding are they on? Mine are on pine shavings....cedar shavings can be toxic.

Are they near the kitchen? I've heard of people cooking with Teflon non-stick cookware...and if it gets overheated it can cause a chemical to be released in the air that can kill chicks.

Coccidiosis can kill quickly...any sign of blood in their poo? Other than that, I can't really think of anything. I sure hope you can find the problem...

They are on pine shavings.........and they stay down in our basement in what used to me our toy room.........they seem alll fine yester excepted one and the one that was acting funny is fine today.........and some of the ones that were fine yesterday are just dropping dead! ahhhhhhhh

How cold was the water they were given to drink? Possibly try giving some sugar in their water or electrolytes......i have read about others doing that.

Hmm, sorry to hear it but we have to help you figure this out. How are their dropings looking? Have you checked for pasting up? Anyone spray fragrance or cleaner near them? And yes I agree Teflon getting too hot can kill them. I would call Ideal and ask them, perhaps they have sick chicks and others have complained??

Update us when you can!
