I love this cat. He never tries to hurt anything I own. My other cats would but not Radar. This was during our morning ritual- duckie swim..

They chased him away:

Looks like that cat was trying to decide if licking the ducklings to help them preen themselves was a good or bad idea. So nice to see different species can get along.

He was telling them to stop flinging water on him, lol...he squished himself as far into the corner as he could to get away from them, then finally bailed out..

He is a cornish rex- softest fur ever, but he is always seeking somewhere warm- my face, brooder lamps, etc.

No, he wouldnt catch mice. I have a picture of him somewhere with my daughters' pet rat a couple years ago and him, side by side. He doesnt paw or grab at any critter.
He will get into a brooder if he has access, but he just lies under the lamp. Freaked me out the first time. Also lets me know if my brooders are cat-proof because my other cats would love a chick or duck snack.

And nope, you can't have him- he is my special buddy.

What a cool cat!

I have been afraid to let my cats in the brooder room because I think if they catch mice and other rodents they will think the ducklings are neat toys.

I would think at a certain size and weight the ducklings will be safe, though, don't you think, even with a less friendly cat?

I'm giving my ducklings a ritual daily bath too because they seem to get so dirty with their own poo. I have some questions about it, can I PM you?

Sure go ahead, PM away!

My other cats would love fluffy snacks and catch mice- but they dont bother the big chickens or the ducks i had last year. I think it depends on the individual cat, though- I wouldnt even leave Radar alone with my peeps and quackers even though he has never ever shown an interest in any other critter- because it only takes once, ya know? But during our morning ritual bath, I feel safe enough to look away for a second.

How cute. Nice looking cat. My cat tried to share my lap with Angel and Angel gave her to ole bill.... she jumped down pretty quick.

I moved them from my sons room and into the dining room now. They peeped for hours, but finally they have settled down. SHHHHH!!! Dont wake the babies...
