I'm starting low & offering these eggs on a one-day auction due to a cancellation (customer was wanting eggs for her broody, but now has enough & cancelled order).

I have worked very hard on my Marans this year, culling heavily & keeping only the very best stock. You will not see any mossiness in my stock whatsoever; I do have two hens that have W. Jeane in their bloodlines, which is known to cause mossiness, so there is a possibility of getting some, but again, I have heavily culled and none of my hens nor my rooster display this trait. Look around, and you will find it's difficult to find French Black Coppers without the mossiness that lay a nice egg!

The eggs pictures are not retouched, taken without a flash, and from the beginning of their laying cycle. However, they are still laying quite dark, and I've received some very nice comments from folks regarding egg color.

The olive eggers are just to sort of round out the order! These will be 2nd generation, so the female offspring should lay a VERY dark olive green egg. Here are pics of my Marans stock and some olive eggers:

Duke and some of his ladies (the hen to the far right with too much coppering in her hackles is not in the breed pen any longer):

Here's a pic a customer sent during her hatch:

Olive egg - the layers are bred back to my Marans rooster to make even darker olive-laying offspring:

PayPal only auction - payment is due by noon on Tuesday, and eggs will ship out shortly thereafter. Thanks for your consideration!

Can you give me an est on shipping.... zip code 01754

And do you think they would be here ( if i win:fl) before Saturday or on Saturday?

Snowhorse, I'm charging a flat shipping rate of $10 - I typically request a bit more, but since this isn't a full order, I lowered it. Yes, these will ship tomorrow if payment is received tomorrow, so they should arrive most likely Thursday, or Friday at the latest.

No guarantee, because you know how the post office is

BUT Wynette shipped eggs to me in CA and I got them in 2 days! I was shocked they arrived so fast. And Wynette's packing is fantastic!

So is it the eggs shown in the pic (dozen plus 2) that you are selling? When were the eggs laid, between what dates that is?

Raindog, no, as indicated in my auction, those are a sample of the darkest eggs my girls have laid. The auction is for 6 or more Marans and 2 or more olive egger eggs. Thanks for asking!

Thanks so much, Kelly, for you nice comments! So far this year, the PO has been good to me....uh-oh, did I just jinx myself?

I do take great pride in my packaging, but you never know what the PO may do to eggs, so there are no guarantees once they leave my far.

I believe I have 7 Marans and 3 olive eggers for this auction - still have to run down & quickly wrap and pack them with the others, which were laid beginning this past Saturday.

I've jinxed myself a many times!
I'm appalled (in a good way) how everyone gets a high hatch rate on my eggs, but if I purchase eggs... I don't think you can even call them a "hatch rate" LOL I'm thinking I should ship out eggs to myself??? lol

As for packing, I love packing too; some people have stated that it was hard to get the eggs out, but 0 broken eggs

gotta bomb proof them suckers, right????
