I came across this information tonight and thought I would pass it along...

That was an informative article; thanks for passing along the info.

We use DE (diatomaceous earth) to prevent fleas and mites. It is amazing and totally safe for consumption, even by day old chicks. You can find it at your local feed store and it's cheap. All you have to do is sprinkle some in with their bedding and you're golden. And since it's natural you don't have to worry about any strange side effects. Hopefully that helps some of you too. An ounce of prevention as they say...
