Ok so I'm sure this is on here somewhere but I'm going to put it out there anyways....
Can anyone and everyone throw in what they know about the Silkie Standard of Perfection. I have not bought the ABA/APA book yet so I'd love to hear from everyone here. Thanks!

Both are copyrighted documents..... You probably need to buy a copy of each. You cannot just legally copy off a page of it and post it on the web. If you have any specific questions regarding the standard, some of us may be able to help.

I was just about to post that very question. So I'll ask- does anyone want to post a pic of the "IDEAL" Silkie, and tell us WHY it is ideal? How does that Silkie meet the SOP?

Oh I didn't mean for people to copy from the book...woops! I just want people to give their input on:
toe separation--how do you know it's correct?
beak shape-is there a wrong shape?
tail and wing feathers--are there supposed to be any hard feathers?
wattle size--i think my silkies' are too big(roos anyways) how do you know if the wattles are too big?

This is "Bubba" the 2008 Reserve National Champion bred by Deb Steinburg, I now own him!
I have yet to find not one defect nor disqualification on this bird!
