This little girl won best of breed last fall and went on to get reserve champion featherleg out of 179 birds. One of the best I've raised and was a cross of a Shorty Polston line cock on Premier hens. She is now owned by Premier Silkies:
This is probably one of the best cockerels I've ever owned. He was bred by Premier and was stolen this spring. Luckily I held back some of his offspring.
Nope from my barn 3 days after a spring show this last April. Its really tightened up my security out there now. Everything now has personalized wingbands as well as the legbands. Guard dogs and cameras in place. Buyers get to meet me at my place in town and don't get to view my other birds. There have been at least 2 other incidents in IN and WI that I know of where show stock has been stolen this year too. Good reminder to lock your coops.
This little lady won three starred wins her last three shows, including Reserve Champion of Show. She's not perfect but I feel a good representation of her breed.
Hi Amy! I still can't believe how awful that is that someone would steal your chickens. Especially if someone is into chickens, I'm sure they would realize how much we love our little birdies, even if they weren't show birds. Here's some pics of a few of the cutie chicks we got from you. I think they're gorgeous!!!! (my camera was freaking out though somehow and made most pictures fuzzy, so here's what I got so far) I'll take more pics later when I figure out what's wrong w/ the camera.
