Patridge Cochin (We have two, but for some reason I only have this shot with the one. I don't want to mess with them too much as they are just settling in.)

I was supposed to get an Iowa Blue, but I do not think this means what they think it means. LOL Does anyone know what this is? Is it a Cochin as well?

I suppose this brings a little more joy into the house, since we are all sad about losing our Polish pair yesterday. I am still hoping they return, but it is not looking likely at this point.

Feel free to correct me if I have any of these babies mixed up. I have a lot to learn! I hope to pick at least one heritage breed in the next year or two and start a breeding project, although I am leaning towards Marans for that.

Adorable chicks but WOW stunning pictures! You take beautiful photos. Love the picture of the Orps.

Does that last chick have a single comb or pea comb? If it has a single comb, it's a cochin.

Congrats on the new ones, but sorry you lost your polish.

Chickens are only supposed to be part time. lol

I figured out what I did, too. The last pic is actually one of the light brahmas. I don't think I got the Iowa Blue, because I definitely have 3 Dominiques.
