The first one I have no idea. My neighbor has the same one from Rural King and was listed as RIR but it is not. Dont know what she is. The BR's are all looking boyish

Unsure about the red one, but chicks 3 & 4 are roos. Chicks 1 & 5 are possible roos, too.

Looks like a Golden Comet (red sex link) and as far as the others #3,4- roos? Others not sure, keep hope and remember hens get combs and can get wattles. The ones besides 3 and 4 are still yellow (or at least they look that way) so hope for pullets!

Edit to fix Comet

Since the BR came from straight run bin, and that usually means roos, and since all but one are likely roos, it confirms the adage of straight run being overwhelmingly roos.

The red chick's sex is iffy at this age. Hatchery RIR, which mean an orange bird of generic look, but usually, if a pullet, a solid layer.

Im no expert but here is my guess...
Red- could be a RIR since some have darker red in them. But im not sure.
BR1- girl
BR2- girl
BR3- male
BR4- male
BR5- girl
BR6- girl
BR7- girl

You can usually tell on the barred rock from there stripes. At least that is how i have done it. And i have been right on mine about 90% of the time. The females stripes will be wider and the males will have finner stripes. If you look at pictures of an adult male and female you can see the difference in the stripes.

I was actually going to say about the opposite. My understanding of BR is that pullets will be more black with white barring and roosters more white with black barring. I'm thinking 1,2 and 5 are roos and 3,4,6 and 7 are pullets.

I cant say 100% for sure, bc the pics are a little blurry, but as I scrolled down through the photos, I was just thinking , "WOW she got a lot of boys." I tend to agree with you.

I was thinking roos with the BRs too....My BR roo is definately white with black my hens are black with white.

But my reason for thinking roos is the combs are already pretty big for a month old.

I have new chicks in the brooder and I swear you can tell by how they act!

***straight run will bite you in the back side every time!!
