Hey ya'll.

I just posted in the health section because I was concerned with bare spots on "Fiona" here. "She's" a Golden Laced Wyandotte. We got her and the other smaller chicks yesterday. In total, there are 8 chicks in this batch. We also have a batch of 7 eight week olds that these gals will be introduced to later.

In the health section, it was deemed that the bare spots were fine - but that Fiona isn't a she! Could I have your opinions please? I'd be glad to take more photos if necessary. She is likely from an older hatch than the other little ones in there. She was the same size as the other GW's in her bin - but we had to have her because we have a Silver Laced Wyandotte in our original batch and she is STUNNING.

So do you think she's a he? If so, why? Thanks!!!

Ack! Here are some more photos. Keep in mind that "he's" older than the other chicks (we think).... so perhaps that could make bigger legs??? ::crossing fingers:: He's also different to handle, but I was thinking it was because he was older without much handling yet. He sort of bites... which the others' dont... and he has a large wingspan. He also doesn't make peeping noises, but moreso a purring kind of noise?

Here he is standing next to a Barred Rock chick....

I guess he would be handsome as a roo. What's the downside?
