The test hatch has grown up! This appears to be a Barred Rock. He might be crossed with something long-legged. It's your guess.

He is 12 weeks old today. He is vaccinated for Marek's. He gets along well with the rest of the flock, and doesn't spend too much time chest bumping. He's not crowing yet, but little boy is growing up. We caught him *doing the deed* with one of the hens last week. Hence, he is now nicknamed "Romeo." Call him whatever you like, even if it's Dinner.

Pick up only, or if you bid enough to cover my gas both ways, I will deliver.

Darn. I don't think I can afford the delivery. Or pickup.

He's quite handsome!

I would be willing to take him off your hands if you could meet me in Pittsburg. I live on a ranch in the valley and could give him a nice free range home.

Sounds great! Send me an email about where you want to meet. (my PM box is full.)

I'm not sure how the auction thing works. Do you have to actually bid on him? I don't really care about making any money. I didn't put a Buy It Now! price, so I don't know if I can edit and make him sold/ given away before the end of the auction.

Hey me again!

If his legs are white and not yellow he very well may be a regular cuckoo marans?? He looks like he will be a nice big boy.

No, just from the pic of this guy his legs look white with a blackish over them?? Barred rocks have a bright yellow legs, marans have white. What color are this guys legs and soles that will take allot guess work out of what he really is.

you're right, again! he has white with black on his legs. no yellow at all. and, he has a comb that looks to be a hybrid between a straight comb and a pea comb. It's got three rows of points, not bumps, with the middle row being a good fake for a small straight comb.

Just view your auction while logged in, and click the "close" button... it will end your auction early (provided there are no bids)
