Diamond was attacked! HELP! (Graphic Pics)

I put peroxide on her wound. It is bleeding heavily around her vent area. What else can I do about helping her? Unfortunately, her two babies were killed.

My understanding is that peroxide is not the thing to use. 9 parts water to one part betadine to cleanse wound is what an avian vet told me. Apply topical neosporin to the wounds.

You can get Rescue Remedy from the health food store to help with the incredible distress she must feel from the attack and from witnessing the murder of her babies. A drop in her drinking water. Change at least daily.

Very concerned about the "bleeding heavily". That is the biggest problem at the moment. Keep her still and in calm environment with comfy temps and comfy bedding. You can set her up in a dog carrier type container if you have one. Use soft towels perhaps, not bedding that will stick to her bloody butt.

She may well need pain relief but you must wait until bleeding has safely stopped. When she is not bleeding, 1 baby aspirin (81 mg, NO SUBSTUTUES for the aspirin) crushed in one cup water. If she won;t drink on her own you can ever so slowly dribble the medicine water with an eyedropper along her beak - stop if she gets stressed.

If she has deep wound sthe topical neosporin may not be enough. She may need oral or injectable antibiotics. Others will likely come along to weigh in on that.

she drank a little and ate a little... i will stop using peroxide, i have added neosporin to the wounds. She is is a old guinea pig cage with paper towels with a brooder light on her. my mom says we dont have the money to take her to the vet so we will have to see how it goes. i hope the wound doesnt get infected.
 
she is sleeping. my mom said she might stop by the vet on her way to work, and see if she can get anything for her. her wound is still wet and bloody. She is standing on one leg, its bruised and bloody also.

Yikes. More than likely will need more than topical antibiotics. Which one should she get folks, and where can she get it QUICKLY - TODAY?

That girl is in pain too. At minimum get Rescue Remedy from theh pharmacy or health food store - a couple of drops in her water bowl (the little bottle of Rescue Remedy will last a very long time). Aspirin would offer some relief but with all that blood I don't know that it would be safe at this point.

Try to make sure she stays hydrated, and as comfortable as possible and try to be very calming and soothing with her. Scared and hurting, she'll need a lot of TLC if she's going to get through this.

You should take a pair of scissors and trim the feathers back away from the wound. When using the neosporin make sure it doesn't have the pain killer with it. Anything with the
-caine meds can be fatal to chickens! If your vet won't give anything without seeing her you could go to your farm supply store and get some penicillian and syringe plus needle. I believe for a standard the dose is 1cc for 10 days. Being a silkie, I think, you had better adjust it down-maybe 3/4 cc for 10 days? I believe you give it in the breast. Becareful not to hit bone.

As for pain relief, I believe I've seen dlhunicorn say no to baby asprin! Here's what I've seen for recommendations:
The usual dosage recommended on BYC is 5 regular (325 mg) aspirin (NO SUBSTITUTES) crushed and mixed with ONE GALLON of water.
I too would worry about all the bleeding and giving asprin!
