Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do with a chicken run when you are managing an outbreak of coccidiosis and worms? I'm heard of liming it, but is that a good thing for chickens, to walk on lime? Does lime cut back on the eggs of the coccidia and the worms? Any suggestions? I'm treating for coccidiosis right now, after losing 6 out of 14 chicks between 10-14 weeks. They're on the 6th day of treatment. After day 10, I'm going to start the de-worming. I have a hen on eggs due to hatch on the 19th, so would like to get the run cleaned up somehow. I'll be cleaning the coop as well, but that's easier to manage than a 50' x 14' run.
