I'm sure you guys have all read about my duckling, Admiral. Originally, she looked just like a little crested Fawn & White Runner. She stood up tall, she ran fast, she had the markings...everything. Then, as she started getting older, her booty became bigger
, she started standing more horizontally, and she kind of waddled like the rest of my ducks. Her feathers started coming in a distinct Fawn color, though, so I figured she was just a funny looking runner still.
Well, now her adult feathers are almost completely in...and she is certainly not a runner. She is a Swedish after all! BUT, just look at the color of her feathers...they are tan with a hint of grey. And the second picture depicts the stripe that she has on each side of her body, and it is chocolatey brown.
Anyway, my question is, do Swedish ducks come in this color? Is she ust a "poor quality" Blue Swede? I think she is positively gorgeous and unique looking, and I love the shape of her crest. She is the best little duck, and I am just wondering why she is this color!
