I got a box of eggs in the mail that the PO manhandled, there was a hole punched in the side. I lost quite a few eggs, so I tried to salvage some. I had 2 eggs that were cracked but not leaking so I put them in the bator (I know some of you are saying bad move). One egg started developing but stopped about day 8. It is now day 12 and here is the other egg. How many people think this egg just might make it to hatch?
My only concern if it does hatch, will it be ok....
should have taken it sooner so you could see the crack better, but I honestly didn't think it would make it this far. The crack extends pretty far down but the chick covers it.
I covered the cracks with wax to try to keep it from losing too much moisture. Here is the crack in light, quite a dimple too.
