Oh my gosh, I am so excited...my eggs are in the bator! This is my first time to incubate ever! I got the eggs from Quail_Antwerp and they arrived without any breaks!
Here they are:

Goodluck! I will keep watching this thread.

Hey I got two of that same cooler but my hubby connected the two together and built my bator so the whole carton fits in there......

it is so cool.......

I need your opinion on this...

My temps have been between 101.4 and 97.7 - my simulated egg has been 99.5 to 100.4, but the light is actually able to shine on it. Since it is a dark color I am sure it is absorbing the light and thats making it warmer than my actual eggs are. The light is deflected from the eggs by the aluminum foil shield.
Do you think my temps are good?

My humidity is between 42 and 44%...will that be sufficient for now?

I put them in yesterday around 8pm. When do i start turning them?

Thanks!

You must turn them a minimum of 4 times per day start turning them ASAP, mark one side with an X and one side with an O that way you can keep track of which side you turned them to. Turn them when you wake up twice during the day and before you go to bed, try to make sure if they are on X on night you put them on O the next...Good Luck

OK, I started turning them.... My humidity was at 35%, then I added a bigger bowl and sponges to get it up to 42-44%. How in the world will I get it all the way up to 65% during hatch?
