When you get to day 18 you can flood the bottom with a little water. The humidity will sky rocket.

Oh, that would have been so much easier than the mess we went through--I'm totally going to flood my base next time--I'll just have to find something clean to set the bator in so the water won't all go out the drain holes.

Make sure your bator doesn't have little holes in it. I noticed my LG has little 1/4" holes in the corners. Don't want to have a leaky mess!

Riocotesei, I'd totally have to put it in some kind of water proof container to do this because I have an LG too, but it would be well worth it--it's so hard to keep the humidity up, and then I won't have to worry about my sponges contaminating the hatches if I reuse them.

Uuuughhghh...I broke one of my eggs last night...

I was trying to adjust my temps up a bit and the light had gone off so i was trying to hold the flashlight while adjusting the thermostat....and i dropped the flashlight!!!!
It broke one egg

It was one of the brown ones that was named #9...
I guess I looked like I was going to cry, because my DH jumped up and ran to me saying "its alright" before he even knew what happened.
Anyway I cleaned it up and got all the others back in there in less than 5 minutes, so the rest will be ok right?

obviously I must be a little clumsy...I just wanna smack myself..

I am on day 3, is there anything I can see if i candle them to check on them or should i just leave them alone....?

Don't feel to bad I dropped an egg when I was turning it today, poor thing. It didn't break, I don't know if it will hatch. I'll keep an eye on it. I put mine in today so I'm on day 1. We'll be close on hatch days though.

Riocotesei - I know, I feel so worried when I am turning mine, are your eggs your own or did you order them? Mine are shipped from Ohio!
Yes we will be close on hatch days - today is day 4 for me. I am not going to set a brooder up or anything until I candle on day 7 and see if i can tell if they are developing or not.
